So I’ve had a 2nd Generation iPod Touch for about a year, and the built in external speakers have worked fine. Then on Christmas I got an iTunes gift card, so I bought the update. After that, the built in external speakers no longer work. When I play something, the volume bar doesn’t even appear. Does anyone know why this is happening?

Hi people,
I got a new ipod touch 2g and I downloaded “shazam” to help me identify music. Anyway, I tried plugging in my external microphone headset which I use for my computer, but it doesn’t seem to get any input sound. My question is: do I need to buy a special brand of microphones in order to run “shazam” on my ipod?

I just got an iPod touch 2nd gen and I have an app that makes internet calls w/ voIP. I’ve made a few calls with my cellphone and they work perfectly with my iPod but obviously I don’t have a microphone for it.

My question is: how come only those microphones that are attached to apple earphones work, and not other external microphones that plug into the headphone jack?

yesterday i went to go charge my ipod and the end of the charger that goes in the ipod was in a glass of water and it was still connected to the computer. When i try to charge my ipod it doesn’t work, it just shows the page that means the battery is dead and i have to charge it. Last night i put it in a bowl of rice, to try to get some of the water out of the charger. how can i fix the charger?

I have been doing some research and was thinking of getting a ipod touch. I have google voice and was planing to use it with the ipod touch. I want to get the 8gb ipod touch. But, on Apple’s website it doesn’t say if it is 3rd generation. But it says that the 32gb and 64gb are. The thing is google voice only works on 3rd generation ipod touches and i don’t want to get the the 32 gb or the 64gb. Somebody please help me.
